About
I’m Danielle Beuker, a freelance copywriter and social media manager originally from The Netherlands, now living in the UK. Specifically, I currently reside in Southampton, Hampshire, England.

Interests and hobbies
I am a person with many hobbies, even though my main hobby is writing. In fact, from 2023-2024, I managed to write 2 full first draft manuscripts of 2 very different books.
When I’m not writing, I can often be found playing (or thinking about playing) Dungeons and Dragons, or playing the Sims 4. Other times, I’m engaging in one of my other creative hobbies, such as embroidering, or drawing on my iPad, or filming and editing videos. In any case, I find fun in creation.
Finally, I love to travel. Especially to theme parks… Although, going places with delicious local cuisine is also high on my list of priorities when picking destinations.
My journey to freelancing
→ Whilst I was completing my A-Levels in Media Studies, English Language and English Literature, I wasn’t sure yet what I wanted to do in the future. What I was sure of, however, is that I loved writing. This led to me choosing my Bachelor’s degree.
→ I started my Bachelor’s (with Honours) in Creative Writing in 2019. In my second year, during Covid, I elected to do a placement module, setting my sights on marketing.
→ In April 2021, I did a two-week placement at a B2B SaaS company called Fresh Relevance as a Content Marketing Intern. I did so well in this placement that I was allowed to come back during the summer holiday.
→ In the summer of 2021, whilst preparing for my dissertation, I returned to Fresh Relevance as a Content Marketing Intern. (See my portfolio for some examples of the work I did there.) By the end of the summer holidays, they asked me to stay on part-time, as I did such a good job.
→ I stayed on with Fresh Relevance whilst finishing my BA(Hons) in Creative Writing. By now, I had decided that I very much enjoyed marketing, and so decided to continue my studies.
→ In 2022, I started my part-time Master’s degree in Digital Marketing and Analytics (CIM accredited), whilst still working at Fresh Relevance and being promoted to a Digital Marketing Assistant.
→ In October 2023, Fresh Relevance was acquired by dotdigital. By February 2024, the company and I made a mutual decision that I would focus on finishing my studies.
→ I finished my Master’s in November 2024 with a Distinction overall. I started volunteering whilst deciding on my next steps.
→ In July of 2025, I decided to officially go fully freelance.
